Judy's newsletter is great!
The day-to-day environment in a nonprofit tends to be hectic, we're juggling a dozen deadlines for two dozen projects.
Judy's newsletter has a big-picture perspective, and each newsletter has a theme. The theme is always a key component of nonprofit operation such as funding, board development, marketing, or creating an annual operational plan.
Each newsletter is relevant and timely, motivating me to take time now to step back and think about the framework of our organization, not just for today, but for tomorrow.

The Learning Exchange Community embraces 10 principles for BOLD thinking.
Principle 1: Invest In You
Take time for learning. Take time to nurture your spirit and your health. Find networks that give you support. Take time for play. Nurture your creativity. Take time for family and friends.
Principle 2: Embrace The Power of Focus
Have you often felt busy, but unproductive? Force yourself to focus on what you are trying to accomplish. Set goals and then focus on the steps you need to take to accomplish them. Focus leads to success.
Principle 3: Respect Your Time
Practice the 3 P's - protect, preserve and prioritize your time. Respecting your time helps you stay focused on what you want to accomplish.
Principle 4: Embrace The Power of Intention
Your present intentions create your reality. If you want to make changes, change and strengthen your intentions.
Principle 5: Create Physical Environments That Support You
Your physical environment impacts your creativity and success. Nurture your mind and your spirit by creating physical spaces that reflect who you are and where you want to be. Create spaces that make you feel valued and that reflect your value.
Principle 6: Think Boldly With Others
Connecting with others can help you re-charge your thinking, reconnect with your passion and rejuvenate your mission. Expose yourself to new ideas and environments. Give yourself opportunities to change your perspective. Partnering with others can enhance the benefits you offer and expand your reach.
Principle 7: Choose Your Role Models Wisely
Model yourself after people who Think Boldly.
Principle 8: Make BOLD Promises
Make bold promises about what you want to create or accomplish. This is your vision of what you want to offer the world. Then write them down and refer to them often.
Principle 9: Create A Plan For Achieving Your Promises
Make a strategic plan for achieving your vision. Then create an annual plan with objectives, outcomes and timelines. Monitor your progress. Celebrate your successes and make changes when improvements are needed.
Principle 10: Take Action Now
Stop holding yourself back. Get yourself going. Take risks and be willing to accept change.
